DETROIT (AP) - The city of Detroit is hiring bus drivers and mechanics.applications can be found online at http://www.detroitmi.gov. Mechanics must be at least 21 years old and have experience with heavy-duty diesel engines.
Bus drivers must be at least 18 and possess a commercial driver's license. Detroit says it's looking for team players and candidates with good people skills.
Mayor Mike Duggan recently hired a new transportation chief, Dan Dirks. He ran a Detroit-area bus agency, SMART, for about 10 years until 2007
