Home Depot says they are hiring 1,500 new associates across their 33 Detroit area stores.
The hiring is part of the company's effort to hire 80,000 new people nationwide, as they prepare for spring. The company says spring is their busiest selling season.
Home Depot says college students, retirees and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply for the new jobs.
The company says the jobs include positions in sales, cashier, operations and online order fulfillment. The jobs are both part-time and seasonal positions in Home Depot's stores and distribution facilities.
